Optimizing Disintegration in Tablets of Amorphous Solid Dispersions

Good bioavailability of amorphous solid dispersions (ASDs) not only depends on dissolution rate/extent but also on the capability to inhibit/avoid crystallization, ensuring that supersaturated state is retained to promote absorption. Here, the type and amount of carrier polymer used in ADSs preparation have a strong impact on the rate and extent of precipitation.
