Our partnership with Chinese sources started in 1979 when we purchased supplies at the Canton fair. Today we have a well-established network of preferred suppliers and relationships. Our Macau plant, first inspected by the FDA in 1987, aligns the selection process an the transfer of know-how. Hovione has over 130 staff based in Macau, China, of which half have been with Hovione for more than 10 years. Of the top 30 managers of Hovione, 10 have spent at least 3 years working in China.

We have been able to find gold needles in the vast hay stack that is China. We possess the cultural sensitivities necessary to build trust and relationships and we know its strengths and weaknesses. In summary, we are in a unique position to make the most of the energy and excitement found in this economic powerhouse.
