Process safety is a blend of engineering and management skills that focuses on the prevention of events impacting safety, environmental damage and business losses.
Process Safety involves a collaborative approach between areas namely chemists, engineers, HSE and experts from the Process Safety area in order to prevent incidents and reduce operational risk.
Corporate guidelines support a systematic approach to identify, evaluate and control hazards involved in each process and safely conduct activities at the different stages of process development and manufacturing.
Our Process Safety Laboratory performs activities aimed at ensuring safe scale-up evaluating thermal stability of substances and mixtures, process related heat production and pressure rates and their dependence on time as well as the ignitability and flammability of substances. The lab is equipped with equipments such as RC1, automated gas release measurement system, DSC with high pressure golden crucibles, MIE, MIT, combustibility and resistivity and supplies reports with data, conclusions and recommendations.
