Quality Policy

We, at Hovione, are committed to Quality. A demanding quality, which is adjusted to satisfy our Customers and Health Authorities.

Our Quality System assures that we are in compliance with current GMP and regulatory requirements.
Following the rules is very important because the products we make save lives.
Quality is designed-in and built-in, it is a team effort, and everyone’s individual work is very important.
We do it right first time, and we improve all the time.
In order to improve change is encouraged, but all changes are controlled.
Deviations and complaints are recorded and investigated.
Corrective and preventive actions are implemented through changes to controlled documentation and training.
Traceability enables the identification of non-conformities, deviations and the trend that determines when change is appropriate.
To do good work YOU
- must first understand what is expected of you,
- then you must be well trained and finally, you must do your best. We listen to our colleagues
- and, when appropriate, we inform the Customer before making changes.



Health, Safety and Environment Policy

The protection of people, facilities and environment is strategic to our development and a constant concern. Therefore Hovione is committed to:

Comply with all legal requirements and other requirements that the Company subscribes to;
Design the installations and equipment, the processes and operations according to principles that embody and safeguard Health, Safety and Environment;
Evaluate the risks for health and safety and the impact to the environment in all the areas of activity of the company and prevent any injuries and ill health and environmental and property damage;
Adopt adequate policies in the management of waste, emissions and natural resources that prevent pollution, which are themselves, whenever possible, integrated and autonomous;
Inform and train all staff and demand that they act responsibly in the protection of Health, Safety and Environment with wisdom and in alignment with the Business;
Select service providers having in consideration our policies, informing and requiring compliance with the applicable requirements;
Investigate and record all non-compliance situations and implement timely corrective/preventive actions to avoid reoccurrences; communicate them promptly and effectively to all Company staff and sub-contractors, whenever appropriate;
Maintain a cordial, transparent and constructive relationship with the community and other interested parties based on a spirit of mutual respect and open dialogue, and;
Aim to continual improvement in Health, Safety and Environment management, evaluating regularly performance in order to reach the established objectives.



Human Resources Management Policy

The company recognizes that people are its main asset and that Hovione’s continued success depends on the involvement, effort and professionalism of everyone that works at Hovione.


As such, it is the policy of each Hovione company to:

Recruit individuals of quality, based on a thorough and objective selection process.
Treat all its staff equally, waiving all and any discrimination (sex, religion, opinion, nationality, race…) and providing a working environment that promotes team work and assures mutual respect and - when warranted - individual attention.
Offer to its staff employment that is stable, long-term and challenging.
Pay a market competitive remuneration that evolves in connection with the function performed, and the individual’s potential, experience and merit.
Promote, on a continuous and planned basis, the training of every individuals in a form that is adjusted to its needs and possibilities.
Promote and develop the practice of delegation based on competence, on effective communication and reporting, on mutual trust, on respect for the decisions and on the acknowledgement of the right to make a mistake.
Inform periodically each individual of what is expected of him/her, the evaluation of his/her work and of the earned advancement opportunities.
To the extent possible, and with a view to enable career advancement, priority will be given to the existing staff to fill-in job vacancies at their Company.
Develop a social vision, adequate and adjusted to the local conditions and legislation applicable to each location so as to assure that protection exists for each staff member and its family during their working-life and, later, upon their retirement.
